What is JobsHQ?

JobsHQ is a free service for job seekers. You do not need an account to search this site. However, you do need an account for our resume services and posting jobs.

Searching JobsHQ

Find Jobs - No registration is required
Searching for jobs on JobsHQ is simple. On the main page you can choose to browse a job category for all jobs listed by our member newspapers and web advertisers; or enter a keyword in the job search to search all ads. (You may also refine your search by selecting a single paper from the dropdown and choosing a category, or entering a keyword.)

Browsing categories
Since our jobs come from many newspapers with different classifications, JobsHQ searches the words in all ads to assign it to a specific category. This could result in some ads appearing in inappropriate categories. To find a specific business or opportunity you may choose to search by entering your own keyword, rather than browsing the categories.

Featured Employers
Featured employers have the ability to upload all of their jobs directly to the JobsHQ website and have these jobs appear in category and keyword searching results with the newspaper ads.

Display advertising
Many of our member newspapers upload "display advertisements" in addition to text. The display ads are assigned to categories and show up in search results, but an image with the ad text will load when you click on the listing for more information.

Hot Jobs
Some jobs appear to the left of the search results. Advertisers pay extra to have their ad stand out in front of the JobsHQ users. Ask your newspaper classified advertising representative on how to have your ad marked as a Hot Job.

Post Resumes

Are you a job seeker wanting to post your resume on JobsHQ? It's free, it's easy, and it's a great tool to get your resume in front of the region's top employers.

• Create a personal profile
  First you need to create a personal profile. Fill in your name, e-mail address and create a password (You can access your account anytime by choosing the myHQ Login button at the top of the site.)
• Resume Center
  Click on the resume center to upload your resume information. You have a choice of building or editing resumes, or uploading resumes. (Note: .doc, .pdf, .rtf, .txt, and .html file types are supported.) Each resume you create, or upload requires a name so you can choose to use it when applying to particular jobs; or allowing it to be viewed on the site.

Post Jobs

JobsHQ has two options for employers to post job openings online.

Single listing
For only $149.95 you can post a single job opportunity on JobsHQ. This job ad will appear online for 30 days.

• Create Profile
  To post individual jobs you need to create an employer profile - your company and contact information is required.
• myHQ
  Once you've logged in with your employer profile you can enter myHQ to create or edit a job listing to appear on JobsHQ. Select "post a job", fill in the form and your payment information. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. You can return to edit or delete your job at anytime by logging in with your user name and password. You can also view the number of times your ad was viewed and applications sent via the web.

Featured Employer
Becoming a featured advertiser allows you to post unlimited jobs on our site for the entire year for a fixed amount. This option also includes:

• Information center to post jobs and collect resumes.
• Company logo prominently rotating on JobsHQ homepage.
• Direct link to company's website.
• Free access to our resume database.
• A featured employer section featuring additional information about your company.

To choose this option, fill out this form. A customer service representative will contact you to answer your questions or activate your account.

Search Resumes

Featured Employers have access to the complete database of JobsHQ resumes. This database is fully-searchable or can be viewed by job category, allowing Featured Employers to find and recruit exactly the employees they need.
