History:

   Founded in 1939 to meet the care needs of seniors in the region, Bethany Retirement Living has grown to now include 192 licensed skilled nursing beds, 148 assisted living units, 35 senior apartments and adult day services on our University Drive campus. We are one of the largest and most respected senior care facilities in the region.

   Growth in the senior population has prompted us to move forward with the construction of a second campus that will house 78 nursing beds and 40 senior living units. That project is scheduled for completion late in 2009.

   We currently employ more than 500 full- and part-time employees who care for our residents by doing the things that we all do in our own homes - prepare meals, tend to healthcare needs, keep the place clean, arrange things to do, and so on. In many ways, caregivers and residents become "family."
