Source parts &amp;amp; services to enhance equipment effectiveness and reduce unplanned downtime.Major machines are laser, laser-turret, press brakes, paint system, brick press, brick kiln, CNC mill, robot welder, hydraulic and mechanical presses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facilities equipment, to include electrical and electronic controls, motors, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems including building maintenance. Define the error expeditiously and then correct it.2. Complete Preventative and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on machine to maximize equipment operation by minimizing unplanned downtime. Maintain an adequate and cost effective inventory of service parts to support TPM. Lead TPM on an ongoing basis.3. Understand the operation of all plant equipment in order to troubleshoot, service, calibrate, and maintain in order to maximize equipment operation and prevent downtown. 4. Responsible for outsourcing vendors and technical resources to reduce costs and provide necessary service and support in a timely manner. 5. Will maintain timely, accurate and computerized records of services, repairs, and/or modifications documented on all equipment and vehicles.6. Will insure the highest level of safety while working on machines, fixtures and power supplies. Design and install modifications or retrofits to enhance safety and efficiency of plant equipment, as needed.7. Will insure that all required safety aspects (OSHA, WSI, Steffes Corporation) of equipment is operational before returning equipment into service.8. Operate a wire welder and stick welder, insuring quality welds. Also operate cutting torch, forklift, and other various tools and equipment.9. Insure equipment is in safe operating condition at all times and report all unsafe acts or equipment to supervisor.10. Responsible for maintaining a cost effective inventory of service and repair parts. May source vendors, negotiate pricing, and seek out cost reductions relating to parts and supplies. 11. On call 24 hours per day-7days per week.12. Maintain a clean, well organized work area. Conduct 5S audits &amp;amp; make improvements.13.
