						CoilerLocation Prinsco - Fargo - Fargo, ND 58102 US (Primary)Education High SchoolJob DescriptionGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To roll or bundle (and then transport outside to assigned staging area) finished goods on the assigned production line within the specifications described in the Prinsco Quality Control Program and job description for a coiler and any other duties as assigned. Always act as a team member willing to learn new procedures, treat coworkers fairly and work towards fulfilling Prinsco&apos;s mission statement and core values.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    Cut drainage pipe into required &amp;ldquo;stick lengths&amp;rdquo; based on the product size and type. These should be free of die lines, zippers, blowouts, and/or any other cosmetic deformities.    Cut the pipe at required intervals with a half moon knife and trim out the inner liner of the bell end of the pipe with a hook knife when running dualwall coilers. Fill the venting holes with a glue stick gun. Properly install a gasket to the spigot end of the pipe. Using shrink wrap completely wrap the gasket three times, then secure the shrink wrap using the Prinsco sticker.    Roll pipe onto a coiling machine and verify the finished goods are meeting Prinsco Inc. Quality Control/Assurance specifications and the minis and maxis are the correct length.    Tie twine securely at required intervals around the coil or bundle.    Transport the tied coil or bundled sticks to the assigned staging area outside the plant for the operator to inspect for release into yard stock.    Maintain the speed of the line to keep production flowing smoothly and prevent piles of pipe from forming.    Assist other coilers when help is needed tying off a maxi roll or when making multiple mini rolls to prevent loss of control of the line.    Touch and watch the pipe for defects when coiling and notify the operator of any defects in the pipe or improper machine operations.    Cut out blowouts and missed perforations and replace them with a coupler.    Cut out and scrape die-lines and zippers until they have visually dissipated.    Detect any gas/moisture by smell or visual bubbling, remove from pipe and grind as scrap.    Detect &amp;ldquo;roll in the bell&amp;rdquo; of Dualwall stick and notify Operator and scrap all of out of specification pipe, until roll has visually dissipated.    Detect unformed corrugations which are a result of poor vacuum and/or line speed and should be brought to the attention of the Operator immediately. Grind all out of specification pipe.    Grind all soft spots out of pipe until the pipe feels &amp;ldquo;solid&amp;rdquo;.    Maintain a clean working environment free of dirt, oil, water and garbage.    Empty trash barrels into the waste dumpster and pipe samples into the grinder periodically throughout the shift and any other duties as assigned.    Wear safety glasses and hearing protection at all times. Follow all safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Job RequirementsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Maintain a current Class A CDL license and medical card for the interstate and intrastate transportation of Prinsco, Inc., drainage products.    Complete a pre-inspection DOT check of the tractor and trailer and its operations prior to every delivery. Document any defects on the trip sheet and if the defects would not pass a DOT field check, call and notify the shop mechanic of the defects.    Ensure that all product on the trailer matches the paperwork before leaving the yard.    Safely and timely deliver the product to the customer.    Provide all necessary documentation as required if stopped by law enforcement for any reason. If found to be in violation (driver, tractor, trailer) notify the dispatcher immediately or if mechanical in nature the shop mechanic.    Assess when arriving at a destination whether conditions warrant safe unloading and if not notify dispatcher immediately.    Contact the dispatcher if scheduled destinations, documented landmarks, or addresses do not agree. The dispatcher will then help to determine the correct location.    Manage time effectively in order to be on time for all scheduled deliveries to meet our customer&apos;s needs.    Document all drainage products that were received as noted on Bills of Lading and any differences noted after completion of delivery. Also list the dispatcher that was notified during office hours.    Provide customer service in a manner that is courteous, polite and in line with Prinsco&apos;s mission statement and company values.    Return empty trailers back to the yard as promptly as possible so they can be reloaded for the next delivery. Complete a maintenance inspection of assigned forklift prior to any forklift loading. Turn in a daily forklift checklist to maintenance personnel.    Handle all shipping and receiving of products in the safest, most efficient, manner possible.    Accept load sheets (pick tickets) from the dispatcher and coordinate with the dispatcher the proper trailer and tractor to use.    Load in a safe manner all the required items on the pick ticket. Notify the dispatcher if additional items can be added to the load or if items need to be subtracted due to zero inventory or no space available. All substitutions must be coordinated with the dispatcher and documented on the pick ticket.    Transport all finished goods to their proper place and stacked safely by the end of the shift.    Inform dispatch of any mechanical, electrical, or structural defects found on any Prinsco trailers, or tractors, including yard forklifts and yard equipment that would affect the use of or transportation of any Prinsco products.    Maintain the yard inventory on a daily basis by making sure all finished goods made or sent here are stored in their proper place. Inform the plant manager or dispatcher of any low inventories detected.    Maintain the purchased items storage warehouse area in a clean and neat manner keepings all received goods in their proper storage rack or place of storage.    Facilitate radio communication with dispatch and inform the plant manager of any radio defects that need correcting.    Serve as the last line of defense for Prinsco, Inc., QC team. You are the last of our employees to see our product before it is received by the customer. Any quality concerns should be brought to the attention of the QC Manager prior to shipment.
