We enlist the talents of a comprehensive team of professionals to meet the educational, residential, and therapeutic needs of children and young adults with autism, behavior disorders, medical fragility, and other developmental disabilities.JOB SUMMARY:This purpose of this position is to perform supervised tasks related to the delivery Individual Service Plans (ISP), providing evidence-based treatment and interventions, for the individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) served by Anne Carlsen Center in community-based programs. This position is responsible for insuring the service delivery model is implemented with integrity. This position carries specific responsibility in direct supervision, guidance, training, coaching, and mentoring of the regional coordinators and interventionists (direct staff) in each region who are implementing individual service plans; assisting the staff in solving program issues and concerns. This position will carry a limited caseload of children and families in their home region. During the initial autism services start-up, the position will train coordinators in the regional offices on the autism service delivery model utilizing a &amp;lsquo;train-the-trainer&apos; approach. The position will develop and promote positive relationships with the staff as well as the clients, families, and agencies. The incumbent works closely with the market specific Operations Manager, the Autism Services Manager and the Director of Community-based Services. RESPONSIBILITIES (scope and complexity):This position assumes the authority, responsibility, accountability and gives explicit direction for the development, implementation, organization, ongoing monitoring, evaluation, coordination of programs and services including treatment and intervention program plans and behavioral support services, based on information gathered from the individual, families, medical personnel, internal team members and pertinent outside agency personnel. This position is responsible for the directing the work of the interventionists, including completion of interventionists&apos; performance appraisals, and the recruitment, selection, training, and retention of employees within the autism community-based services program. This position is required to complete up to 30% o work on the directly supervising staff utilizing the CARD coaching model and dealing with employee issues and concerns as they arise. This position leads monthly staff meetings.&amp;nbsp;The position serves as the liaison between the regional operations managers, the clinical director with regard to programs, and the resource center staff with regards to staff training and mentoring. This position is responsible for assisting the autism services manager with the development and maintenance of a cost effective budget. This position is responsible for inservicing others on a student&apos;s particular needs. Good communication is essential with the student&apos;s team, rehab administrative assistant and other coworkers. The speech-language pathologist schedules his/her time with the other therapists, home life services staff and teachers. The incumbent should cooperate professionally, at all levels. The SLP is expected to evaluate and treat the student/client based on his/her own acquired expertise and adheres to the guidelines of their professional standards. Ongoing assessment of student needs to determine direct therapy frequency, training needs for student&apos;s whole program, consultation and when to discharge from services is a must.Most work-related, student/client related problems are resolved at this level.
