We are currently seeking a:Application Engineer &amp;ndash; Utility Market &amp;ndash; Bismarck, NDResponsibilitiesRegularly calls-on assigned target accounts. Consults with customers on product and system applications.&amp;nbsp;Provides customers with timely follow-up on quotations, technical inquiries and other requests.&amp;nbsp;Provides continuous contact and interaction with customer&apos;s engineering staff and consultants.&amp;nbsp;Provides technical, specific or specialized product support for branches and customers.&amp;nbsp;Actively participates in planning and sale of Border States&apos; technical products and services, and supports the promotion of BSE&apos;s agency lines.&amp;nbsp;Is actively involved as a technical support for the outside sales staff and plays an active role in engaging consultants throughout the territory. May be required to provide technical training and presentations for BSE personnel internal as well as external customers.&amp;nbsp;Participates in and advises management on the implementation and success of marketing plans and strategies.&amp;nbsp;Consistently provides responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations.Provides input to other sales and marketing staff on customer needs and concerns regarding pricing, products, competition, procedures, and market potential.&amp;nbsp;Responsible for inputting TCCM cost savings documentation that is relevant to the assigned customer base.&amp;nbsp;Evaluates new products and makes recommendations on stock levels for new and existing products.&amp;nbsp;Provides input to the pricing and purchasing departments on product evaluations and code descriptions, inventory management, pricing developments, and other related functions.&amp;nbsp;Performs product updates and new product launches for branches and customers as required.&amp;nbsp;Evaluates demo equipment and makes suggestions for new products in specified product areas.&amp;nbsp;Ensures existing demos are in functional condition.&amp;nbsp;Leads customer and BSE employee training on new and existing technical product lines and applications in the specified product areas.&amp;nbsp;Attends and assists with sales meetings, trade shows and training programs as needed.&amp;nbsp;Provides field trouble shooting assistance, training and information/documentation support.&amp;nbsp;Conduct product application assessments including TCCM savings, elimination of duplicate items/material consolidation, alternatives to materials, equipment, methods and practices, and regional, industry, national standards for material, equipment and apparatus.This position requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs. on an occasional basis, and/or move up to 10 &amp;ndash; 25 lbs. on a frequent basis, and/or move up to 0 &amp;ndash; 10 lbs. on a constant basis.  This position may require constant standing and/or walking and or frequent or constant sitting.  These physical requirements must be met with or without accommodation.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Minimum of a four-year technical or engineering degree required. Prefer the knowledge and technical competence in understanding of electrical utility distribution and transmission systems. Responsible for working with the branches, vendors and freight carriers to resolve related issues.Responsible for analyzing Warehouse reports regarding movements, batching, serial numbers, stock locations, and ZBin. Coordinates the return of the damaged or defective material to the carrier or vendor.Helps coordinate the return to the vendors of quarterly and yearly stock returns.Responsible for assuring warehouse documentation and training material related to vendor returns, freight claims and the receiving process is kept up to date along with developing training material for new process and technologies.Support special project roll out, support and maintenance. This could include, but is not limited to, new SAP projects, assisting other departments as needed.Works with the Applications Team in testing, documenting and training of new functionality related to vendor returns, and freight claims.This position requires the ability to lift over 20 lbs. on an occasional basis, and/or move up to 0 - 20 lbs. on a constant basis. Distributes material to the proper stock locations. Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received. Follows-up with appropriate departments, carriers and/or vendors on receiving discrepancies, damages and shortages. Fills orders for delivery to customers. Assists with loading and unloading of trucks. Maintains delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitors maintenance and mileage data. Maintains daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets. Must be observant and adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations.Operates and maintains all equipment in a safe manner.
