Truck Shop Lead Person Night Shift- Sioux Falls

Responsibility: 

The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
•Diagnose and repair equipment.
•Maintain a revenue rate consistent with KPI goals set by BMC.
•Immediately address any safety related issues in the shop.
•Maintain that contamination control procedures are being followed at all times.
•Support technicians both in the shop or field with tooling, ordering parts, and getting information to them in a timely manner.
•Mentor technicians of all levels of classifications in daily operations and conveying of urgency of a job when it's required.
•Handle special projects as needed/requested by Service Advisors or Service Manager.
•Assist in receiving and delivery of equipment in and out of our yard.
•Keep track of small tools, repairs needed, general condition, and assess new tools that may be needed.
•Work closely with trainees and technicians.
•Responsible for maintaining work flow after the ticket has been assigned until the work order has been marked LEC. This includes ensuring that labor entries, service reports, warranty tickets, core returns, & parts returns are all completed in a timely manner.
•Assist Service Advisors in maintaining the work order process from open to close when fill in is needed. This will include taking customer calls; trouble shooting on the phone, open work order, and assign technicians, review, and close work order after repair is completed.
•Carry strong communication with the service advisor, service manager, and clientele.
•After hour's field service, at times, may be required.
•Ensure the highest level of quality in workmanship on product moving through the service environment.
•Ensure technicians within corresponding classifications are meeting and beating KPI goals as set by BMC management, and mentor those in lower level classifications to do so in the future.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•Three (3) years minimum mechanical experience with the truck product lines preferred.
•Have a working knowledge of the on-line DBS, BMTS, and SIS systems.
•Consistently achieves KPI goals as set by BMC.
•Possess strong organizational skills, good written/oral and listening skills, and strong problem solving skills.
•Leadership training preferred but not required.
•Proven ability to work well within a team environment and without supervision.
•Applicant must show the ability to work with Truck product lines.
•Individual must meet and maintain driver insurability standards.
