As part of the team, the Quality Coordinator must have the ability to understand manufacturing concepts in order to analyze issues and recommend solutions. S/he must be resourceful and a great communicator, with the ability to recognize available and needed resources while assisting to meet team goals and remaining compliant with applicable Quality standards and regulations.  S/he must have familiarity with Quality Assurance Inspection, Supply Chain, and Product Quality Control best practices as well as Supply Quality Auditing experience (documentation and site audits). S/he is must have basic knowledge of Quality tools such as Calipers and Micrometers. S/he must also have excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize efficiently. Must also possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

 

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Manage the Corrective/Preventative Action Process: Work with CRL employees to document and resolve CARs, maintain online CAR records in SharePoint. Manage routine internal Non-conformance end to end; work with the Quality Manager to identify and resolve complex CARs and escalate, as needed.
  • Manage the Document Control System: Maintain online PDM records for process related documentation, release new and updated process documents by working with document owners and other signatories
  • Maintain Training Records: Deliver required basic Quality training to CRL employees. Work with managers to assign training in SharePoint, maintain up-to-date training records, and work with employees to sign-off on their training.
  • Evaluate New Suppliers: Establish communication with potential suppliers as requested by Procurement, request and evaluate qualification documents, and make determinations on supplier fitness.
  • Manage Supplier Network: Maintain up-to-date supplier records, perform regular supplier quality audits both on and offsite, issue requests for corrective action from suppliers, as needed, and perform follow-up evaluations.
  • Track and Evaluate Quality Metrics: Capture and evaluate monthly Quality statistics, work with other teams to capture and evaluate failure rate data, monitor warranty return rate metrics.
  • Manage Internal Communication on Quality issues: Communicate with Customer Support on issues affecting ship dates and warranty product, manage Quality holds, provide support to Quality Inspectors and Production to resolve issues.
  • Participate in Procedure Writing: Assist in creating new quality procedures by collaborating with internal teams and support updates to existing procedures.
  • Assist QA Manager when Hosting Customer Audits: Work with audit teams to retrieve necessary QA records and documents during audits.
  • Support the Quality Manager: Perform administrative and other Quality related support tasks as requested.

    Job Requirements:

    Experience:

  • 3 years of experience working in Quality Assurance and/or Compliance Functions
  • 2+ years in Root Cause and Corrective Action implementation is preferred.
  • General proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Blueprint reading and basic knowledge of Inspection tools (Calipers/Micrometers) as well as visual inspection.
  • Process Compliance experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14644.

     

    Education and Certification Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and/ or experience

     

    Physical Requirements: (To be met with or without reasonable accommodation)

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Sit/Stand to 10 hours a day
  • Good Manual dexterity
  • Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to bend, twist and turn
