Part-Time .8 FTE (32 hrs/wk) Rotating Shift Every Other Weekend

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and/or direction of a Supervisor, Clinical Director, Unit Coordinator or Staff Nurse; performs various duties assisting staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established methods/ procedures of the Hospital and principles of service excellence.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF WORK (Minimum qualifications necessary to function at full productivity).
A. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent, ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE: Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred.
C. JOB KNOWLEDGE (Specific): Working knowledge of personal care activities, transfer techniques, CPR, traction set-up, post mortem care including legal boundaries for coroner care. A knowledge of growth and development; specifically an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. An understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
