Position Description:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for athletic teams as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Performance-Football. Teaches safe and effective lifting techniques, speed development, agility and conditioning exercise for the enhancement of athletic ability and prevention of injury. Supports and effectively communicates the strength and conditioning department's philosophy and vision to the student-athlete and sport coaching staffs. Assists in maintaining the strength and conditioning equipment and facility. NDSU is an EEO /AA-MF/Vet/Disability

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2 years Division I experience working in an intercollegiate athletics football strength and conditioning program.
• Experience implementing a comprehensive sport specific strength and conditioning program that addresses strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility and conditioning.
• Acknowledgment of the importance of nutrition in the development of the student-athlete and takes an active role to accomplish this.
• Thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
• Proven ability to teach and design training programs that incorporate Olympic lifts.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches and sports medicine staff.
• Evidence of strong organizational skills.
• Demonstration of effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated professional behavior.
• Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
• Experience in motivating student-athletes to achieve maximum levels of performance.
• Certified or is currently pursuing certification with the NSCA or CSCCa as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree or plans to pursue a master's degree.
• Previous intercollegiate athletics experience in strength and conditioning programs for FCS football.
• Experience with FCS football operations and team travel.
• Experience with dining centers and fueling station operations.
• Experience with post-practice and post-game team meals and catering.
• Experience with digital platforms including social media and website maintenance.
• Experience conducting, organizing an assisting with off-season inter-team competitions.
• Knowledge of NDSU's strength and conditioning training philosophy and programs.
• Experience with professional development of graduate assistants and interns.
