Emergency Services Manager

Lakewood Health System Hospital is seeking a Full-time Emergency Services Manager.

The Emergency Services Manager is responsible for organizing, directing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the activities of the emergency services units to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutically effective, patient and family centered nursing care. The Emergency Services manager is accountable for the day to day operations of Emergency Services. This individual shall act as the leader for emergency services including trauma, ambulance and related programs to achieve the strategic objectives set forth by the Lakewood Health System.

The Emergency Services Manager is responsible for implementing and sustaining nursing standards of practice, department quality measures, monitoring clinical outcomes, patient safety initiatives and regulations pertaining to clinical practice.  Responsibilities also include oversight of the Trauma Certification program and Tele-stroke program, which includes being responsible for meeting the Trauma Certification requirements and coordination of site surveys, coordinating section meetings and serves as a resource nurse.

The Emergency Services Manager is responsible for developing and/or maintaining the knowledge, skills and attitude of personnel in areas and at levels which meet the goals and objectives of the department and organization. 

Qualifications

1. Current MN RN License required
2. 5 years of previous clinical experience in a trauma/emergency care unit
3. ACLS/TNCC or Trauma equivalent/STABLE certifications required
4. 2 plus years of progressive management/supervisor experience required
5. Excellent critical thinking skills
6. Ability to work within a high functioning team environment
7. Excellent problem solving skills
8. Self-starter with a high level of initiative
