JOB SUMMARY

This position will sit in Sioux Falls or Fargo.

Serves as a link between Sanford Health Plan (SHP), Great Plains Brokerage, employer groups and insurance agents who are prospective clients of SHP or have signed a Health Maintenance Contract with the Sanford Health Plan.
Responsible for developing and executing a strategic retention and growth plan for assigned clients that result in high customer satisfaction and retention of profitable business through formal reports, data analytics and presentation. Establish, cultivate and manage relationships with clients of Third Party Administrator's (TPA) and Health Maintenance Organization's (HMO) serving as a healthcare consultant and trusted business advisor to said clients. In addition to building and maintaining relationships with clients, it will also be imperative to establish and cultivate relationships with consultant's brokers and producers understanding the value they bring to our clients. Able to strategically plan, negotiate and influence the interactions and relationships with customers, their brokers, consultants to achieve strategic goals. Must be able to demonstrate data-driven solutions-based orientation to drive results from our client's while anticipating market trends and offering industry-leading service. Must facilitate the lifecycle of the client relationship from Request For Proposal (RFP) to renewal, acting as single point of contact for assigned clients representing Client Services operations. Must proactively manage operational performance for assigned clients to identify service issues and solutions. Be able to lead the resolution across all areas within the operation organization. Responsible for assisting in new business development, prospecting new opportunities and assisting in sales and enrollment presentations. Must represent SHP at prospective client meetings and assist in the preparation, coordination and review of new proposals. Must present information to difficult or sensitive accounts. Must have negotiation, communication and marketing skills. Must be able to relay information gained from the field in a timely manner to ensure operations are compatible with the needs of SHP clients. Must have excellent presentation and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills necessary to develop policies, plans and goals. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Must have an in-depth knowledge of health care and group health insurance. May require overnight and/or weekend travel (25%).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitates the resolution of customer problems, issues, or concerns. Builds strategic relationships with critical clients. Makes business commitments to internal or external clients and strives to meet them. Uses multiple presentation tools and techniques, adapting/fitting them to audience and topic. Develops change initiatives that target improvement of significant organizational capabilities. Analyzes complex reports as revealed by the data. Provides account management support to a specific customer or account. Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with project managers, team and clients. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Generates and interprets a wide range of statistical data and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Public Relations or Business required.
Two years of client service or account management experience in healthcare or Healthplan industry required. Experience is delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
