JOB SUMMARY

Work with physicians to develop clinical research protocols and focused portfolio. Tasks to include: evaluating funding opportunities, assessing feasibility, and coordinating meetings with project teams. Oversees day-to-day operations of the Genetics and Genomics Clinical Research portfolio, program, budget, and staff.
Build relationships to acquire and/or develop studies to important to Sanford. Will work with industry and academic partners to ensure that Sanford is an attractive site and/or partner, for cutting-edge clinical studies. Responsible for developing and maintaining practices across the department to meet industry requirements and institutional compliance requirements. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to strategize study recruitment and completion.
Requires oversight of protocol development/optimization, grant writing, development and submission, research billing compliance analysis, and evaluation of financial performance of the department.
Sanford Research is a multi-site institution and occasional local travel between sites may be required.

Pharmacy License in both South Dakota and North Dakota.
