Department: 13291 Nursing - Birthplace
Job Description: Responsible to provide leadership, development, and coordination of programs within the Women's and Children's Department. Current programs include: The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative, obstetric patient and family education, and the lactation program. The position will include additional program development in accordance with the mission, goals, and direction of the Women's and Children's Department and will require collaboration with clinical operations, internal departments, and additional disciplines to enhance patient experiences (Prenatal Specialist Care Coordination, Massage Therapy, and Child Life Specialist). Acts as a primary liaison between the operations team, internal stakeholders and key community partners. In conjunction with internal departments and disciplines, coordinates community outreach programs, including screening and health promotion activities, and education. The position may include direct patient care in the role of care coordination for a defined population. Ongoing collaboration with providers, staff, quality, regulatory and reimbursing agencies are required for optimal care coordination across the continuum. Position requires knowledge and ability to research evidence-based practices analyze and interpret data to make program recommendations and improve population outcomes.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of nursing healthcare experience.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
Licensure/CertificationQualifications:
Current nursing license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Dakota upon hire. Ability to obtain RN License in MN required within 3 months of hire.
