JOB SUMMARY

The Organizational Effectiveness(OE) Consultant supports the OE leaders in developing organizational effectiveness programs, activities and plans, and the leadership development program design, strategy and implementation . Supports Human Resources Strategic Partners (HRSP) and other stakeholders to conduct organizational assessment and diagnosis, improve organizational effectiveness due to changing business strategy or environment, and/or provide guidance on projects. This position also uses deep consulting skills to collaborate with Human Resource Advisors (HRA) and leaders in all markets that are addressing opportunities with team effectiveness. Supports the design of organizational, team and leader effectiveness tools, methodologies, and policies. Develops and leads organizational effectiveness projects and work streams (e.g. a nursing engagement plan) utilizing Center of Excellence (COE) methodologies, processes, and tools adapting to market or function needs and environments. Organizational Effectiveness works within a Center of Excellence framework and in partnership with the Human Resources Strategic Partners to assess the needs of leaders and teams and to co-create solutions/strategies the can implement. Designs and implements enterprise level change that strategically advances optimum human resource management with agility, adaptability and innovation. Designs and consults on workforce transition processes that align strategy, structure and workforce talent. Observes, receives and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources including HR Strategic Partners and department leadership and staff. Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time. Analyze information and evaluate results to choose and implement the best solution to solve the problem. Identifies the underlying principles, reasons or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Conducts research studies of physical work environments, organizational structures, culture, communication systems, group interactions, moral or motivation to assess organizational functioning and coach the creation of action plans. Conducts presentations on areas of subject matter expertise. Creates high performance habits and optimum department and organizational outcomes. Teaches, models and coaches agility, adaptability and innovative methodologies. Designs, implements and sustains enterprise-wide initiatives, which advance culture, the employee experience and operational and business outcomes, as well as the patient experience. Creates and gains adoption of strategy development, workforce transition and talent alignment processes. Possesses strong research, rapport building, observation, group facilitation, relationship management, assessment, problem solving, change management, implementation, collaboration, writing, teaching, critical thinking, adaptability, analytical and influencing, skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research. Facilitates a continuous development culture to deepen staff knowledge and skills on technical areas. Develops policies, strategies, processes and plans for communicating to diverse groups in an clear and professional manner. Develops change initiatives that target improvement of significant organizational capabilities. Communicates well downward, upward, and outward. Builds a cooperative spirit and elicits maximum participation from each group member. Adjusts own work effort, style, and content to support desired change.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This position can be located in Sioux Falls, SD, Fargo or Bismarck, ND, or Bemidji, MN.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, healthcare administration or related discipline.
Minimum three years of experience in organizational development, organizational effectiveness, leadership, employee engagement, leadership coaching, workforce structure design, change initiative leadership or related field.
