JOB SUMMARY

Assists in preparing specimens and performing basic clinical laboratory testing; adheres to laboratory safety standards and quality requirements throughout all procedures. Performs basic clinical laboratory testing procedures, including manual and automated routine blood tests, in accordance with detailed instructions. Utilizes relevant techniques to prepare clinical specimens for laboratory examinations, following institutional protocols and principles. Operates various equipment for clinical laboratory tests. Calibrates and maintains instruments according to relevant standards. Ensures all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met.
Come work in the beautiful surroundings of Valley City. A busy clinic in a friendly small town just off of I-94.

QUALIFICATIONS

If working in ND, must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. If working in MN, must have passed a national certification exam for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and completed continuing education credits equivalent to the requirements of ND licensure law. If the employee does not possess national certification at the time of hire must become certified within one year of the date of hire. Requires completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program. Must have knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, CLIA regulations, and quality control methods.
