JOB SUMMARY
Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The Human Resources Intern will work closely with the special projects specialist to implement and assist with employee engagement focused projects and plans. They will help research and execute new engagement strategies and plan and orchestrate internal events. The Intern will assist in the planning process of internal, employee focused events. Duties will include vendor communication, budget tracking, volunteer recruitment, event setup and tear down, and post event reporting. Other duties will include attending STAT meetings (Strategic Talent Acquisition Team) with members of the leadership team and researching unique employee engagement tactics. Must be organized, trustworthy, and attentive to detail. Must be available to work occasional evening hours for events. An interest or focus of study in human resources, marketing and/or events is preferred. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12 week internship.
Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools. Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Collaborates with departmental associates and management.
DEPARTMENT DETAILS

QUALIFICATIONS
Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
