Inspector - 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: 12.00 - 15.00
 

Performs inspections of materials and verifies process results to insure conformance to specifications, requirements, and guidelines. This position will apply and correctly interpret reusability guidelines and determines disposition of materials. Ideal candidate will have some knowledge of coordinated measuring making (CMM), reading blueprints, and some machining in their background. Must have experience setting up and using calipers, outside/inside micrometers, and bore gauges. Experience as a machine operator inspector a huge plus as is having an understanding of non-destructive testing.

Requirements: 2 years experience preferred in quality inspection /assembly / machining

Duties: Accurately utilizes data collection, Ensure Customer requirements are met, Uses precision measuring devices (set-up and use), Able to follow written and verbal instructions, Perform inspection of standardized parts, Performs preventative maintenance, Performs paperwork requirements and writes legibly, Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office application, Identifies and accurately inspects parts manufactured internally or by outside suppliers, Identifies and accurately inspects raw material for certifications and specifications, Conduct receiving inspection and tracking its disposition, Applies and correctly interprets reusability guidelines and determines disposition of materials, Conduct audits of inspection processes, Communicate quality concerns, Operate and program computerized inspection equipment, Utilizes software systems Basic level Non Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications, UT, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, etc, Assists in Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions, Coordinate the calibration of measuring devices, Facilitate Operators/Technicians on proper use of inspection equipment and techniques, ISO internal auditor duties and other responsibilities related to ISO, Cross train to other inspection areas, Displays extensive knowledge of the products and procedures in the department, Proactively identifies and implements areas for improvement, Works effectively in other areas of department or company (cross trained), Assists co-workers with technical issues/production problems, Operate and program computerized inspection equipment, Perform gage audits Repeatability & Reproducibility, Advanced level Non Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications process development/Engineering, Perform pre-inspection of non-standardized parts, Conduct First Part Inspection, Develop inspection criteria on all products in conjunction with Engineering, Coordinate Statistical Process Capabilities (SPC) Ideal candidate must have ability to stand for extended periods of time, per shift, as required; ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds; ability to operate all necessary tools to perform job; ability to stoop and bend to inspect parts; ability to move and position parts on a hoist
