The registered nurse is responsible to implement the nursing process within Sanford Health and the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions.
Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within one year from the date of hire to the following service areas: (specific service areas may require sooner) Critical Care Services, Cardiac Intensive Care, Cardiac Progressive Care, Cath Lab, Emergency Center, Endoscopy, Family Birth Center, PACU, Day Unit, Interventional Radiology, Inpatient Dialysis, Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Resource Team Float RN's.
