Mechanical Systems Engineers

Cirrus is seeking design, engineering, and experimental staff to support the SF50 Vision Jet program. The program is now funded for development, certification, and entry into production. Aircraft conceptual design and configuration is complete, and we are now entering into the conforming fabrication and validation phase. We are looking for talented, exciting, motivated people to join our team to bring this aircraft through FAA and international type certification, and into rate production. Candidates with a wide range of experience, from entry to manager level, will be considered. Responsible for developing and refining system level requirements for aircraft mechanical systems. Evaluates data from the prototype program for verification and validation purposes and identifies further testing or development work. Reviews, updates, and compiles engineering definition of aircraft system components and assemblies based on records from the prototype build project. Supports the creation of system test plans which will be used to verify manufacturing processes meeting design intent and requirements.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Aero, Mechanical or related engineering plus a minimum of 3 years experience. Experience desired in performing system safety assessments, fault tree analysis, and functional hazard assessments. CAD experience preferred. Knowledge of FAA part 25/23 FARs and other aircraft standards preferred.
