Tool Engineers and Designers 

Cirrus is seeking design, engineering, and experimental staff to support the SF50 Vision Jet program. The program is now funded for development, certification, and entry into production. Aircraft conceptual design and configuration is complete, and we are now entering into the conforming fabrication and validation phase. We are looking for talented, exciting, motivated people to join our team to bring this aircraft through FAA and international type certification, and into rate production. Candidates with a wide range of experience, from entry to manager level, will be considered. Responsible for tooling creation for prototype and production aircraft. These positions will work with an integrated team of product design, tooling, quality and industrial engineers to create a complete process for production of a composite aircraft. Performs detail tool design and modeling. Produces CAD models and drawings using ProE and bills of material. Tool types include, but are not limited to, metal and composite molds, drill fixtures, bond and assembly jigs. Assists with tool fabrication and assembly guidance, produces component and assembly work orders and enters purchase requisitions. Procures tools and equipment from outside sources as required through the use of RFQs and similar documents. Bachelors degree from four-year or Associates degree from two-year college or university; or 4-6 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with tool designed desired. Experience with composite tooling and manufacturing desired. Experience with Pro Engineer or equivalent CAD is required. CNC programming experience desired.
