Position Description: This position is located at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), an international leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world. We are looking for experienced, aggressive, scientifically trained, and market-oriented individuals to contribute to the success of the organization by performing one or more of the following functions: developing geophysical models of the subsurface, performing regional geological characterizations for clients, performing petrophysical analyses of geophysical well log data, assisting in the preparation of technical reports, and interfacing with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to assess project uncertainities in oil and gas development and geologic CO2 storage. Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree degree in petroleum, reservoir, simulations, environmental, geological, chemical, or related engineering or geoscience field
• Experience modeling the subsurface using a 3-D visualization software package
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience preparing and delivering presentations
• Author or coauthor of published peer-reviewed article or technical paper
• Basic understanding of sedimentary geology
• Basic understanding of oil and gas related logging and seismic techniques
• Experience evaluating geological cores
• Experience using Petrol to model subsurface geology
• Experience performing petrophysical analysis for modeling subsurface geology
• Experience interpreting seismic data from oil and gas exploration
• Advanced degree in geology, geological sciences, geophysics, geological engineering, petroleum engineering or related field
