To assist the Pharmacist in drug preparation, drug storage, drug distribution, drug inventory and required record keeping. Responsible for aseptically compounding parental admixtures. The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Provides work direction to the Pharmacy Intern. Certified in the state of North Dakota required - PTCB certification. Completion of an accredited pharmacy tech program desired. National Pharmacy Technician Certification desired. Continuing education as required to maintain technician certification. Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred. The incumbent must have the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in meaningful ways using email, word processing, spreadsheets and database management as applicable. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills beneficial. Requires attention to detail. Must possess ability to work independently. Must be able to comprehend policies, guidelines and procedures. Must possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Subject to frequent interruptions. Various shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
