High school diploma or equivalent is required
Relevant experience is required
Prepares meal trays in a sanitary manner, prepares and cooks meals for patients, residents, and employees of the facility in a sanitary manner in dietary department by performing the following duties as outlined.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Less than six (6) months related experience or training.
Experience: One (1) to two (2) years related experience.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to printy and speak simple sentences. Ability to understand simple math. Ability to understand written or oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to hear, see, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Subject to burns and cuts; exposed to hazards of steam, heat, wetness and odors in kitchen and/or patient areas; exposed to varying degrees of kitchen elements.
