Ag & Turf Sales

Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the company for the sale of equipment, and technology-based products and services to
  • assigned customers
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process
  • Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Updates and retains relevant customer information such as equipment and operational information in the customer relationship management system
  • Enhances the relationship between the dealership and assigned customers
  • Understands changes in customer's operations or management personnel and helps the dealership prepare for future customer needs
  • Partners with the customer optimize their operation
  • Attends applicable sales and product training events/seminars
  • Partners with dealership specialists (AMS, Sprayer, Used Equipment Coordinator) when needed in completing a sale or answering customer questions
  • Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and has the ability to effectively evaluate those units for trading purposes
  • Maintains assigned company vehicle and equipment
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 1 years equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications and other organization specific programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting $42,000 per year depending on experience
