Machine Operator - Components
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary function of the Machine Operator is to be responsible for operating the CNC lathe.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Equipment is operated safely
• Work area is clean and orderly
• Job Orders are completed according to schedule
• Production meets or exceeds Superior Industries quality standards
• Production log is maintained accurately
PRIMARY TASKS
• Able to run a computer
• Able to identify all of the different rollers
• General mechanical knowledge
• Keep accurate production log
• General maintenance knowledge
OTHER TASKS
• Keep floor clean and free of steel and tools, sweeping when necessary
• Communicate major repair needs to maintenance department
QUALIFICATIONS
• Quality and quantity of work must be high priority
• Able to do repetitive tasks
• Able to work in team environment
• Able to see work without being told
• Lifting requirement: 75 pounds
