ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Retail Market Manager is responsible for the overall management and function of the branches in their region. The position is a mentor and coach for ensuring execution on the delivery of financial services to Alerus consumer and business clients. The position also oversees and ensures daily operations of the retail branches are operating effectively and efficiently.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Lead, coordinate, and track the efforts of the retail team as they work to execute client needs.
- Ensure teams are adequately trained, have clear expectations, and are performing at an acceptable level. Identify training needs for further development of the team.
- Mentor and guide team and work with individuals on any performance related issues.
- Support all aspects of the client experience.
- Ensure resources are sufficiently utilized to consistently meet service level agreements.
- Assist with timely resolution of escalated client issues.
- Develop and maintain good working relationship, assist, and serve both internal and external clients.
- Schedule and lead team meetings to build collaboration and teamwork, provide information and lead training as necessary. Research problems and determine resolution relating to team functions. Identify areas for improvement and efficiency and work with suitable parties as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of all Alerus products and systems pertaining to the position.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a business-related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- 7 years of client service experience accountability with financial services industry.
- Managerial/supervisory experience with strong leadership skills.
