Position Overview:
The Manager, Digital Technical Office (DTO) - B2B is responsible for managing a team focused on digital Business to Business (B2B) engagement. This position ensures business objectives aligning to Sales, Marketing and overall DigiKey strategy are met, through product development and facilitating technical customer success with digital engagement. The position's focus is on coaching and developing staff, ensuring product development and prioritization aligns with organization objectives and expectations, monitoring the progress of projects and initiatives, taking appropriate action when needed.

This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, though may require some onsite attendance.

  • Manage a team that delivers on DigiKey's three areas of digital B2B enablement: (1) Product Delivery, (2) Customer Support, and (3) Customer Success
  • Help manage DigiKey's and its customers' expectations from third-party application partners that are utilizing DigiKey's B2B channels (such as Orbweaver and CalcuQuote)
  • Partner with internal sales teams such as Business Development, Business Coordinators, and Assigned Sales Reps, when needed, to help key customer accounts with their selection and adoption of DigiKey's B2B services offering
  • Partner with DigiKey's supplier and product development teams, to deliver B2B solutions for DigiKey's supplier base
  • Develop and maintain process enhancements for APIs, EDI, and Punchout Catalogs, to streamline customer onboarding and order processing
  • Develop and maintain our customer maturity model for B2B customer adoption, helping DigiKey's customers select and grow their utilization of DigiKey's B2B offering across each of our customer's search, source, and procurement processes
  • Act as liaison between the B2B development teams (APIs, EDI, and Punchout Catalogs) and end users by defining product features necessary to create value for stakeholders. Coordinate across Products, Product Owners, and Leadership
  • Partner with IT departments to define, develop, test, and implement short-term and long-term projects that improve user/customer experience with DigiKey, leading to better business results
  • Contribute to the development of the DTO roadmap, helping to prioritize projects that deliver revenue growth and an improved customer experience
  • Manage a group of employees; primarily manages employees at seasoned / professional level. Develop team members through the use of strategic delegation. Accountable for the performance of a team within own discipline based on departmental strategy & goals
  • Develop and administer plans and procedures for company personnel; adapt plans to address resource and operational challenges
  • Oversee planning and organization of department activities.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and measurements in alignment with corporate strategy
  • Lead, plan and organize department staff meetings. Provide business and team updates. Ensure that action items are completed in a timely manner
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches for continual improvements in efficiency and service of the department
  • Build key partnerships within the organization to ensure understanding of broad business strategy and impact to the SMarketing department and vice versa
  • Act as a change agent who is able to gain consensus and influence action
  • Identify opportunities for team and / or supervisor development (e.g. hard or soft skill) to ensure industry and corporate standards are met; partner when / where appropriate to develop and organize development activities
  • Continually evaluate assigned department's workforce needs / requirements; coordinate hiring schedule/requirements with HR
  • Monitor and evaluate performance dashboards and reports; determine root cause of issues & propose / lead recommendations & implementation for resolution
  • Provide direction and guidance to employees and manage issues appropriately. Partner with Human Resources (HR) when needed
  • Oversee and provide strong mentorship to employees through effective training, coaching and team building
  • Ensuring cross team collaboration is efficient and effective
  • Partnering with leadership to develop and realize the value of Agile culture and principles
  • Identifying and influencing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Leading a team to self-organization
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 5+ years DigiKey and / or industry experience in Sales, Marketing, IT, or other relevant work experience
  • Typically, 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of DigiKey's available & upcoming products and services
  • Demonstrated strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences, including executive management
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of DigiKey processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze reports as well as confidence to make recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to actively participate as a member of the DigiKey Management Team to meet departmental goals
  • Demonstrated a high level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in the organization and distribution of workload
Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
