Position Overview:
The Senior Supervisor, Production Control, is responsible for overseeing the development and growth of individual team members. This role involves assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of new and updated Production Control programs, policies, and procedures to align with the company's objectives and competitive strategies. Additionally, this position ensures comprehensive audits, reports, and collaboration with the team and the organization, maintaining that the company's processes and programs are consistently executed in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

Responsibilities:
- Execute Production Control/Support tasks at a mastery level. The work itself may not change, but level of oversight decreases
- Supervise, train, and mentor production control staff to ensure high performance and compliance with safety standards
- Support the Manager in their absence by assuming manager-level responsibilities while keeping them informed
- Anticipate future business needs (people, training, automation, innovation)
- Lead innovation efforts and act as a Change Champion
- Organize and lead team meetings, providing updates and ensuring timely completion of action items
- Conduct one-on-ones and report team progress to the area manager
- Document 1:1 meetings, coaching, and positive feedback clearly and concisely
- Collaborate proactively with Senior Supervisors and Managers to optimize process efficiency and achieve daily goals
- Foster talent development within the team and coordinate training as necessary
- Provide direction and manage employee relations issues appropriately
- Manage team and personal workload, clearly defining and executing deliverables to meet business objectives
- Monitor performance dashboards daily, identify root causes, and recommend resolutions
- Drive continuous improvement by promoting accountability and best practices; may lead such efforts
- Review and maintain control room SOPs
- Serve as a liaison between management and staff to communicate expectations and resolve issues
- Advocate for change by understanding its business impact and communicating effectively with the team
- Maintain designated areas and support backup areas
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- May organize and oversee projects and programs that operate outside of standard hours; some flexibility with scheduling may be necessary
- May engage in cross-functional committees and task forces.
- May represent the control room in presentations or communications at the manager level or above
- May collaborate with senior management or director-level team members in response to current business needs or issues
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Demonstrates strong understanding of DigiKey (and/or industry) processes and procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of Manhattan, KiSoft, PROD, eGain, GFM, Microsoft Office, Baywatch, ServiceNow, Workday
- Demonstrates ability to analyze, understand and utilize statistical data for the department and company
- Demonstrates ability to create and present power point presentations as needed (preferred)
- Demonstrates conflict management skills as needed
- Demonstrates ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering business results
- Demonstrates confidentiality
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
- Regular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of DigiKey and/or proven experience in leadership
- Associate degree in relevant area of study (preferred)
- 1-2 years experience in data analytics or other relevant experience (preferred)
- Occasionally climb stairs
- Able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
- Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
- Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
- Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder heightRegular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment
