The Instructional Designer position supports the development and implementation of training content and processes. This role focuses on learning foundational instructional design processes and tools used by the Bobcat Training Team, contributing to the creation of effective training materials and implementing best practices of course design under the guidance of team leadership and other members.

This position will support instructional design work, the creation of course modules, and the learning experience of our commercial channel.

Role & Responsibility

Content Development
  • Assist in developing instructional materials, including online courses, manuals and job aids
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, organize and produce content
  • Support the maintenance and updates of existing training materials as well as the preparation of reports and presentations
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials for training events
  • Maintain internal media platforms to promote training events and learning retention
Instructional Design
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training material across various media types and formats
  • Participate in the design process for creating instructional materials
  • Work with SMEs to refine drafted material into student-facing deliverables according to a revision control process
  • Help gather and organize feedback from internal and external customers in a close working relationship with the team's data analyst
Project Management
  • Support the instructional design team in managing project timelines and tasks
  • Perform administrative tasks related to instructional design projects, such as scheduling meetings, ordering training materials, and maintaining records
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of training events, including logistics, scheduling, and attendee communication
Job Requirement

Education Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Experience Required
  • 0-2 years of full-time instructional design or related experience
Skills
  • Basic knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Familiarity with training material development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud) is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage a variety of project deadlines and details effectively
