Role & Responsibility

- Coordinate and implement supply strategies to achieve ongoing cost, quality, and delivery improvements for NPD projects
- Process and update cost estimates and quotes
- Assist accounting with project cost roll-ups and all cost types
- Manage requests for quotes (RFQ) to support stakeholders and NPD programs
- Ensure early and ongoing supplier and procurement involvement in the NPD process
- Build strong value-adding relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional departments
- Supply forecasts and schedules as required
- Assist planning in minimizing inventory and obsolescence
- Understand and communicate nondisclosure agreement supply and warranty agreements, including terms and conditions
- Collaborate with sourcing, planning, and additional stakeholders on solving problems
- Support projects as sourcing lead when required
- Advise sourcing management of any potential major supplier problems and risks that could adversely affect the supply of components
- Assist in maintaining data integrity in all related systems
- Support other duties as assigned
- Develop, manage and execute the Material Planning function by managing inventory levels to achieve forecasted turn rates and schedule requirements
- Create and maintain integrated processes among Operations, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing Services, and outside suppliers to implement the planning/replenishment process, while identifying procedures and tools needed to employ these systems
- Schedule and implement part change notices (e.g. ECN's) while minimizing obsolescence
- Past due order management
- Minimize expediting time and freight costs for inventory issues
- Work closely with management and other key decision-makers from all functional areas to ensure an uninterrupted supply of material to various locations
- Relationship management
- Cultivate and maintain relationships and rapport with suppliers to aid in the timely delivery of material to our warehouse and/or Dealers
- Effectively work directly with individuals at all levels throughout the supplier's organizational chart, from entry-level customer service employees to higher-level managers and executives
- Work with Accounts Payable on invoicing issues as applicable
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or equivalent)
- 0 - 2 years experience
- Ability to assess the economic impacts of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit costs
- PC Skills, Excel, Oracle, PowerPoint, SAP
- Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Mechanical and/or inventory control background preferred
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, solid analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and receive instructions in English.
- Must be willing to travel
