As a Trade Compliance Analyst Sr. you will support the Doosan Bobcat Trade Compliance program with a focus on North America. This role perform a range of tasks such as leading the team's daily operations by managing a central inbox, perform free trade analysis, classification for HTS and ECCN, and creation of metrics. In addition to delivering results that comply with U.S. Customs and other applicable government laws and regulations. This position will play a critical role to enhance the value of the Trade Compliance function across the North American organization.

This position is open to a work location of Statesville, NC; Minneapolis, MN; or West Fargo, ND. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with flexibility to split time between the office and home.

Role & Responsibility
  • Manage central inbox for internal and external customers.
  • Support cross-border shipments to and from Mexico.
  • Perform review of trade compliance holds for export shipments.
  • Classify items on a proactive basis for HTS and ECCN.
  • Support free trade program by issuing internal and customer certificates and partnering with sourcing to ensure high supplier response rate.
  • Perform analysis and make determinations for Buy America/American Act.
  • Gather reports to publish regular metrics to help tell the story of trade compliance.
Job Requirement
  • Education Required: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience Required: 2-5 years of relevant trade compliance experience.
  • Travel Required: <10>
  • Required skills:
    • In-depth understanding of various trade-related topics such as classification, valuation, Incoterms, recordkeeping, auditing, country of origin, duty optimization/Free Trade Agreements, Buy American Act, etc.
    • Must have critical thinking skills, excellent research and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and be detail oriented.
  • Preferred skills and experience
    • Trade compliance experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency with ACE.
    • Proficiency with Trade Compliance software, i.e., E2Open and/or SAP GTS.
    • Familiarity with Oracle and SAP ERP systems.
