Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.
Terms of Employment: Classified- 9 month
Evaluation: By the Principal at least twice each year in the first three years of service (December 15 & April 15), and at least once each year thereafter (April 15).
Open until filled.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain classroom discipline and carry out the classroom procedures in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the regular teacher. Maintain the daily curriculum except in emergency situations.
- Discipline should be maintained and students are to be held accountable for their work, classroom behavior, attendance, etc. Handle routine disciplinary problems. If problems escalate, contact the school principal. Utilize appropriate language and provide quality feedback, interactions and positive discipline.
- Model positive behavior.
- Ensure students safety. Never leave students unsupervised.
- Notify the school office immediately after an injury occurs and complete an Incident Report.
- Write a summary of the day's activities. Include information about problems during the day and any other information that you feel the teacher may want to know. If you were not able to follow lesson plans, if an assignment could not be completed, or if you had to rearrange schedules, leave a note explaining why.
- Grade papers as required.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
- Flexibility to work throughout the schools in the district as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
