Education: Bachelor's Degree

Job Goal: The role of the curriculum leader is to orchestrate department-based curricular, instructional, or organizational needs under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer and district strategic plan.

Qualifications: Must have a North Dakota teaching license in applicable curricular area with more than three years of teaching experience.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying annual department-based goals to improve student achievement and engagement with special attention paid to underperforming student groups.
  • Identifying and articulating PLC structures that address achievement goals so grade/ departmental PLC work is aligned and collaborative in nature.
  • Monitoring PLC processes, collaborating with colleagues to make necessary adjustments, and providing feedback to colleagues regarding their progress.
  • Assisting the curriculum, instruction, and technology staff in standards review or curriculum adoption process according the state or district cycles.
  • Serving as a liaison between department teaching staff and school administration to positively address issues, challenges, or concerns as they arise and celebrate accomplishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.

Compensation: $2500.00 annual stipend

Evaluation: Annual written evaluation by the Supervisor.
