Applications will be received, reviewed, and interview conducted by the Director of ENCORE Program throughout the academic school year.
Terms of Employment: nine (9) months, academic school year of the students enrolled.
Elementary School: 2:45 - 5:30 pm, M-F
Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency preferred
Qualifications: Eagerness to facilitate student learning, CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained for certification.
Job Goal: To assist the Site Coordinator in providing a well organized, calm environment where students participate in enrichment activities.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Evaluation: Job performance will be evaluated by the Director of ENCORE Program.

- Work with individual students or groups of students to support learning of material, skills, or activities.
- Assist Site Coordinator in generating special strategies for reinforcing skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
- Alert the Site Coordinator to any problem or special information about a student.
- Lead enrichment activities, homework, and centers as assigned by the Site Coordinator.
- Assist with supervision of students during all ENCORE activities.
- Assist students with clothing, snack preparation, clean-up, wash-up, and bathroom routine.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Participate in training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Coordinator, Project Director, or Principal.
