Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify and address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Interpret assessment results to stakeholders, including educators, parents, and administrators.
- Counseling and Intervention:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies.
- Consultation:
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide consultation on academic and behavioral interventions.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to and participate in crisis intervention as needed, providing support to students and staff.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current on research and best practices in school psychology.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Completed no less than a 500 clock hour supervised internship with school age persons.
- Licensed as a school psychologist in the state of North Dakota.
- Nationally Certified School Psychologist through the National Association of School Psychologists.
- Valid teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements.
