Grand Forks Public School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and social-emotional development of our students. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and intervention skills, a deep understanding of psychological principles, and a passion for contributing to the overall well-being of students.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Conduct psychological assessments to identify and address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
    • Interpret assessment results to stakeholders, including educators, parents, and administrators.
  2. Counseling and Intervention:
    • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
    • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies.
  3. Consultation:
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Provide consultation on academic and behavioral interventions.
  4. Crisis Intervention:
    • Respond to and participate in crisis intervention as needed, providing support to students and staff.
  5. Professional Development:
    • Stay current on research and best practices in school psychology.
    • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Completed no less than a 500 clock hour supervised internship with school age persons.
  • Licensed as a school psychologist in the state of North Dakota.
  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist through the National Association of School Psychologists.
  • Valid teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsements.
