Scope:
- Responsible for effectively managing assigned territory by generating referrals to achieve organizational goals.
- Serve in a consultant role, acting as an advocate for home healthcare & hospice services to hospital systems, social workers, clinics, physicians, senior living communities and other potential direct referral sources within assigned territory.
- Effectively build, manage and maintain positive relationships with our internal and external customers.
- Utilizing referral and market share data to identify new opportunities for growth to ensure referral, admission, and census goals are achieved.
- Prepare and implement sales plans based on strategic goals in partnership with the sales manager.
- Document activities in the organization's Consumer Relationship Management tool.
- Serve as expert educator of available services to referral partners and community members. Develop and execute an annual education plan with area Nurse Navigator(s), marketing, and clinical teams.
- Assist in updating and improving education and marketing & sales materials.
- Utilizing and following the defined sales process, along with your own creativity and expertise, increase the number of referrals received by attracting new referral partners and expanding the use of services within existing accounts. Accurately and effectively maintain a book of business that produces results.
- Responsible for providing first-class customer service and ensuring an exceptional customer experience in all interactions, resulting in effective account management and satisfied referral partners.
- Responsible for identifying and resolving challenges and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and communicate changes within referral source facilities and communicate necessary information to internal staff.
- Understand and remain in compliance with healthcare operations, legal guidelines, competitive analysis, and marketplace trends.

- Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Sales experience in health-related field, preferably within a home health or hospice setting.
- Daily local/regional travel is required.
- Strong computer skills specific to Microsoft outlook programs including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize daily activities based on overall impact with little supervision.
- Strong technology skills specific to entering computer data such as a consumer relationship management tool or something alike.
- Must complete and pass a state required background study.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
- Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, patients, families and facilities.
