|Scope|
- Responsible for performing a combination of duties including cleaning resident areas, managing laundry services, and supporting additional housekeeping operations.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning schedules and any issues encountered, ensuring proper communication with the management team.
- Housekeeping staff frequently communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and enhance the overall quality of life in the community.

- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work calmly and effectively with the elderly.
- Experience working in healthcare preferred, ideally in a long-term care, home care, or assisted living setting.
- Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness and teamwork skills.
- Have the ability to work with changing priorities, work independently and as a member of a team.

- Resident Care & Services - Provide individualized care and services for residents which may include: companionship, errands, transportation, escorting, assisting with life skills, snack/meal preparation, social activities and special events, housekeeping and laundry as needed or assigned. Maintain all required documentation.
- Meal Services - Assist in preparing, storing, recording and serving meals, beverages and snacks for residents. Set and clear tables, assist residents with menu selection, meal and beverage service, and clean the meal area. Clean dishes, equipment and work area. Create a positive eating experience that promote independence, choice and overall well-being. Encourage resident participation in the meal program and meal activities.
- Housekeeping - Maintain uncompromising levels of cleanliness in resident homes, common space and equipment. Respect resident time and property, treat them with courtesy, and respect their personal belongings. Coordinate work with the Household team to ensure the housekeeping needs are met within the staffing resources. Maintain supply of all materials to meet resident needs.
- Team Participation - As a member of the team, actively participates in team activities, meetings and processes. Promote team building concepts. Facilitate involvement in meetings and other events with residents, visitors and staff. Assist in the orientation of new team members. Effectively collaborate with staff to promote the residents' total well-being. Act as an advocate for residents.
- Other Duties as Assigned - Uses applicable infection control procedures. In the event of a fire or other emergency, assist with resident evacuation. Attend in-service training and other work related meetings as required. Carry out special projects. Assist with event preparation and clean up. May assist in snow removal of less than two inches from walkways and sidewalks.
