Scope: • Assist in the preparation of financial statements to ensure complete, precise, and timely financial records for Vivie and its affiliates. • Ensure the accuracy in financial reporting through accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Scope:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements to ensure complete, precise, and timely financial records for Vivie and its affiliates.
  • Ensure the accuracy in financial reporting through accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Stewardship- Assist in preparing budgets for all divisions of Vivie and affiliates, annual financial audits, Medicaid and Medicare Cost reports and other reporting as directed by the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Director of Finance, and Director of Accounting.
  • General Ledger Management- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting- Generate financial reports and other operating data for distribution to appropriate staff.
  • Continuous Improvement - Actively participate in and implement quality performance in all aspects of job responsibilities and functions. This includes all interactions with residents, staff and visitors. Participate in and promotes teamwork. Seek, recommend, and/or implement new methods and means of providing quality service and continuous improvement.
  • Other Duties as Assigned - Assist in special projects as needed by the Director of Accounting, Senior Director of Finance, and/or Chief Financial Officer and the members of the executive leadership team. Attend in service training and other work-related meetings as required (some may require travel and overnights). Represent and promote KNWM to individuals and groups within the community. Education and Experience Required:
  • Requires 3-5 years of direct accounting experience.
  • Experience specializing in general ledger functions.
  • Long term care experience is preferred.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, a strong understanding of computer hardware and software applications, an ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to meet, interact, and provide customer service to all customers.
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently required.
  • Must complete and pass a state required background study.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
