Scope:
  • Recruit for open positions.
  • Source candidates for open positions.
  • Project support to HR team as needed.
  • Provide back-up administrative support to Human Resources Administrative Assistant.
  • Assist employees as needed throughout the corporate organization.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Two-year college degree in Human Resources and/or equivalent experience.
  • Two years Human Resources experience, preferably with recruitment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to work with varying workloads, changing priorities, and a variety of staff.
  • Demonstrate initiative and motivation to follow through with tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must complete and pass a state required background study.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit for open positions.
    • Advertise for open positions.
    • Review applications and respond as appropriate.
    • Find and attract qualified applicants for open positions.
    • Review resumes, focusing on skills matching up best to the requirements at hand and interview candidates.
    • Conduct interviews, reference checks and make job offers.
    • Ensure new hire paperwork and other set up requirements are done timely.
    • Coordinate new hire orientation.
    • Identify future hiring needs.
    • Design job descriptions.
  • Source candidates for open positions.
    • Use relevant and new sourcing methods to attract candidates.
    • Use a variety of tools and resources to find suitable candidates, track their progress with our applicant tracking system, and assist with onboarding management after hiring.
    • Work with each department to develop qualifications for the role and create a talent pool for each hiring manager to interview.
    • Source candidates through databases and social media.
  • Project support to HR team as needed.
    • Assist with research on related topics.
    • Complete tasks as assigned.
    • Provide updates to project team.
    • Participate in meetings as needed.
    • Keep up to date with employment law and legislation.
  • Provide back-up administrative support to Human Resources Administrative Assistant.
    • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed.
    • Assist with background check administration, maintaining employee files, verifying employee licensure, and monitoring unemployment claims.
  • Assist employees as needed.
    • HRIS troubleshooting.
    • Respond to employee questions.
