Mission for Position
To provide high-quality, personalized dermatology care while fostering an efficient, supportive, and collaborative clinic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver empathetic, high-quality patient care in a dermatology clinic setting.
- Support dermatology providers by scribing during patient encounters and procedures.
- Ensure efficient patient flow, including preparation of exam rooms and assisting providers.
- Manage in-basket items, patient phone calls, and medication prior authorizations.
- Assist in dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, laser treatments, and MOHS surgeries.
- Maintain and manage clinic supplies, surgical instrument sterilization, and room preparation.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA/OSHA regulations, including recertifications and inspections.
- Manage the iPledge Accutane registry and pathology sample processes.
- Provide thorough patient education and post-care instructions.
- Full-time (0.8 FTE).
- Schedule includes hours at Staples and Pillager Clinics.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program.
- Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or CMA/AAMA certification.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
- Preferred: Prior clinic experience and familiarity with dermatologic procedures.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in patient care.
- Excels in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passionate about continuous learning and clinical excellence.
