Description & Details: The Payment Services Specialist position provides support for accounts payable functions within the NDSU Accounting Service Center. Duties include data entry and audit of SSIs and interdepartmental transfer forms, answering main phone for department and helping walk in customers with questions, office supply orders and general customer service matters. Additional duties include assisting in payment processing, completing wire transfer payments, researching transaction discrepancies, distribution of checks, daily ledger balancing of entries and assisting VPFA office as needed. The position will also provide excellent service to customers (departments, students, and external) via face-to-face, phone and email.
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm (regular school term) and 7:30 am to 4 pm (summer and breaks)
Advertised Salary: $43,000 +/year

- Bachelor's degree, OR
- Associate's degree in related field with 3 years direct experience, OR
- 5+ years direct experience within a higher education setting that provides the knowledge, skill, and ability to successfully perform the job duties.

- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Customer orientation
- Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (ability to use spreadsheets, word processors, databases, etc.)
- Major Field of Study or Degree Emphasis: Business, Accounting or related field. Actual work experience in a business field can be used in lieu of this degree requirement
