NDSU is seeking candidates who are dedicated to supporting the academic success and holistic well-being of students. The Assistant Director of Learning Services provides coordination for ACE Tutoring and Rising Scholars Peer Mentoring services, which includes student employment, collaborating with other departments, and campus outreach. Based on our shared Student Affairs and Institutional Equity values, this position is committed to service, teamwork, and belonging.
• Manage daily operations of the ACE Tutoring Center;
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student tutors and mentors;
• Collaborate with academic departments and services to support students;
• Publicize and do campus outreach to ensure awareness of services;
• Maintain and update a tutoring appointment schedule;
• Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum that advances student discovery, connection, growth, and thriving;
• Assess learning and effectiveness of services;
• Serve on ad hoc committees with a focus on strengthening student success;
• Foster an environment that promotes belonging for all members of the community;
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team to provide exceptional care for students
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00; 7:30-4:00 during summer and breaks. Occasional evening work may be required.
Advertised Salary:
$55,000+ DOE, plus an excellent benefits package
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree;
• Experience coordinating services/programs in a related setting;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Demonstrated experience with detail orientation;
• Demonstrated experience with collaboration;
• Demonstrated commitment to practices that foster belonging for all within a community
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree;
• Supervisory experience;
• Experience developing curriculum;
• Assessment experience
