Position Description & Details:
Temporary assignment at an agricultural research center responsible for assisting scientists and laboratory specialists in processes of a crops research program. Position requires diverse skills with major responsibilities to include field work including soil or plant sample collection, weeding, hand harvesting, and miscellaneous tasks related to assisting research leaders. Laboratory duties including grain cleaning, sample grinding, weighing and data collection.
Responsibilities:
Field work including soil or plant sample collection, weeding, hand harvesting, and miscellaneous tasks related to assisting research leaders. Laboratory duties including grain cleaning, sample grinding, weighing and data collection. A limited amount of time may be spent on grounds and facility maintenance activities.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Advertised Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to be timely to work schedule and desire to put forth consistent and full work days. The experience or demonstrated ability to learn the skills necessary to operate specialized research equipment and follow written and verbal instructions. Detail orientated, ability to maintain focus on task.
