Description & Details:
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and independent Applied Electromagnetics researcher who is interested in interdisciplinary Electromagnetic Source Transformations for advancing technology in Wireless Sensors and Communications. The research position is focused on novel modeling and prototyping methods for the creation of new sensor and antenna technologies, for innovative next generation Ag Technology. The work will be located in the labs of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at NDSU, Fargo ND, USA.

Expectations:

Candidates will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
  • Conduct electromagnetic modeling, device prototyping, sensing electronic experiments and measurements of antenna systems using a full anechoic chamber and prototyping facilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative fabrication techniques for next-generation sensor and antenna applications.
  • Collaborate with regional industry on needs-based research directions.
  • Prepare and present research findings through publications and conferences, showcasing advancements in sensor, antenna, and wireless hardware development.
  • Seek additional research funding to supplement existing funding in the lab through the submission of external proposals (anticipate 4 submissions/year).
The successful candidate should be prepared to discuss how they have successfully demonstrated the outlined tasks in their past job experiences. Creative, independent, highly motivated, and solution-oriented researchers are strongly preferred

Advertised Salary: $71,000 to $82,000

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field with a strong emphasis in Applied Electromagnetics, particularly around wireless communication hardware such as antenna arrays. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States. Candidates should have strong communication skills and be hard working.

The anticipated range for this position is $71,000 to $82,000 depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
