This position is funded through the NSF Engines: North Dakota Advanced Agriculture Technology Engine supported by the U.S. The National Science Foundation (award #2315315). The aim of this fellowship is to assist Dr. Josh Marineau in the study of the local and regional entrepreneurial/innovation ecosystems through primarily a social network lens. The immediate study will focus on capturing the evolution, growth, and change of the broader ecosystem through meaningful and reliable measurement of the social networks of individuals, groups, and organizations over time. This will include the development of innovative methodology and theory that captures the complex social processes of innovation within a large social system. However, other research questions will also be pursued, such as evaluating the effectiveness of Engine programs and activities. Fellows will be encouraged to pursue their own research questions as well.
The candidate is expected to:
Preferences: A preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in analysis of social networks, such as exponential random graph models, relational event analysis, and/or statistical programming (R, C, Python, etc.). Individuals with expertise with qualitative methods, including social network analysis will also be considered favorably. Preference will also be given to candidates who demonstrate active research that involves social networks or entrepreneurial/innovation ecosystem theory and methods. Additional preferences will be for candidates with a PhD from an AACSB, AMBA or EFMD-accredited program. There is opportunity for teaching 1-2 courses per year for candidates with requisite background and qualifications for the college of business.

- Participate in the collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Assist in the writing of various reports and papers for diverse audiences (industry, NSF, academic, etc.)
