Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Nursing Practice/Nurse Practitioner focus or MS in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner focus with a doctoral degree in related field, or MS in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner focus enrolled in a doctoral program
Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills
Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in North Dakota
Advanced Practice Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree e.g. DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice), PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), or EdD (Doctor of Education)
Graduate-level teaching experience
Quality improvement, Pathophysiology, and/or population health expertise
FNP primary care experience

Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Read and abide by all rules and regulations for faculty of North Dakota State University as outlined in the faculty handbook.
- Maintain a current active license as a professional nurse in good standing with the North Dakota Board of Nursing and other boards of nursing as appropriate.
- Coordinate and teach courses as assigned by the Associate Dean/Chair of the School of Nursing (SON). Using the SON workload formula as a guide, teaching responsibilities will be incorporated into the position based on School needs and the candidate's expertise.
- Develop clinical learning activities and rotations for nursing students in contracted inpatient and community settings.
- Serve as the chair or committee member on DNP students' clinical dissertation committees.
