The primary roles of a Teacher Aide include:
  • To assist the teachers in providing a warm and nurturing environment in which each child can grow physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually.
  • Promote home/center relations and a partnership with families and the community.
  • Assist in the supervision and education of university students participating in the Center for Child Development.
  • Support an organizational climate that fosters trust, collaboration and inclusion.
  • Assist with baking, serving accurate food portions and implementing sanitation practices following the USDA Child and Adulty Care Food Program requirements.
  • Work Safety
Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30PM

Advertised Salary:

$31,000+/year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED and a minimum of three years experience working with children 6 weeks - 5 years of age; OR two years of college and experience working with children 6 weeks - 5 years of age
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized and attention to details
  • Takes initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field
