Measurement and Control Technician
We have an opening for an Apprentice or Well-Qualified Journeyman Measurement and Control Technician in Fergus Falls, MN.
A two-year associate degree in electrical or electronics or equivalent training and experience is required. Must have thorough knowledge of single and three phase electrical circuits and electronic components. Basic computer skills and understanding are required. Must be able to work alone or with fellow employees and assume responsibility to organize, schedule and complete assigned work efficiently. Will be required to work indoors as well as outdoors. Some of the duties are: Receive for and clean meters and equipment removed from service that will be repaired for reuse. Inspect, repair, test, programs and adjusts electrical energy measuring devices including meters, transducers, current transformers, potential transformers and load survey equipment. Assemble, program, install, test and repair transformer-rated meters and associated equipment. Witness or test interconnection meters and associated equipment. Assembles, tests, makes minor repairs, reconditioning, acceptance testing, distributes and assists with planning and installation of load management control equipment. Tests and completes minor repair of cable and fault locating equipment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and travel to all parts of the system as assigned. Successful applicant will be expected to reside within 30 miles from permanent headquarters in Fergus Falls, MN.
