Transportation Program Manager
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Transportation Programs and in line with Tri-Valley’s philosophy, mission, and goals, the Transportation Program Manager is a safety sensitive position that has the primary responsibility to oversee the daily operations of the Public Transportation Program and Bus Drivers to ensure efficient and effective transportation services to its clients.
The Transportation Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Public Transportation program, supervising bus drivers, and serves as the primary contact for clients and staff to address general questions and issues relative to Public Transportation Program operations. The Transportation Program Manager must effectively work with a variety of individuals with multiple educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
Requirements
Bachelor degree or four years equivalent experience in Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing or Human Services.
Two years of experience working in a similar transportation or office management position, with equivalent level of authority and responsibilities.
Two years of experience in supervising others.
Two years of experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, internet and email.
Current Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement; meets requirements of bus driver position or is willing and able to obtain within 6 months from hire date.
Will provide training to obtain within 6 months, if needed.
Proof of valid driver’s license.
One year experience in marketing, public speaking, public relations or training in a group setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an excellent command of the English language.
Pass pre-employment drug screening and background search requirements as listed on Conditional Job Offer; upon hire and continuously meet requirements thereafter.
Participate in subsequent drug/alcohol testing and background searches as appropriate.
